Over ons Fotograaf in Nederland Jessica Sherman,

lHello! I’m Jessica.

I've always been fascinated by people—their stories, what inspires them, and what connects us. I suppose that's why I consider myself a “multidisciplinary storyteller.”

Over the years, storytelling has taken me down some wonderfully unexpected paths. I've worked as a copywriter and voiceover talent in large and mid-sized U.S. radio markets, in business development and sales and marketing management for competitive media and publishing companies, as a professional stage and on-camera actor and dubbing artist (including Netflix and Amazon productions), and as a photographer for more than 15 years. The sum of my work’s built from varied professional experience, but it has all shared the same purpose: helping people communicate who they are and what matters most.

I've intentionally chosen the Netherlands as home, and I'm happy to work wherever meaningful stories take me.

My favorite projects all have one thing in common: they're built on relationships. I believe the best creative work begins with listening— by being personal. When people feel comfortable enough to be themselves, the most meaningful stories naturally follow.

As a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity Association, I've had the privilege of performing both on stage and in front of the camera, serving as a casting associate for theatre productions, sitting on the Board of Directors for a respected Los Angeles theatre company, and photographing production stills for more than 35 full-length productions. I have a penchant for capturing the stories unfolding both onstage and behind the scenes.

Photography is one of my favorite ways to tell those stories. As a self-taught photographer and Nikon Professional Services member, I'd become an agency-referred, specializing in headshots, editorial portraits, production stills, lifestyle, environmental and commercial photography and a creative producer/director.

Outside the studio, I'm typically out for a run or on the bike, growing my Dutch language skills, painting a whimsical watercolor, delighted by (and growing my confidence to play) golf, and spontaneously dropping to their level to "talk" to animals — they’re some of life's greatest teachers. They remind us to be present, curious, accepting, and kind.

I believe in sustainability, community, and the idea that meaningful work is rarely accomplished alone. It gives me great joy to bring people together, embrace different perspectives, and work toward a common goal.

I'd be honored to help tell your story.
